Abstract

Education is the main factor in the formation of the human person. Education plays a very important role in shaping the good or bad of the human person according to normative standards. Realizing this, the government is very serious about dealing with the education sector, because with a good education system it is hoped that the next generation will emerge who are qualified and able to adapt to life in society, as a nation and as a state.

The teacher is "one of the human elements in the educational process". In the process of education in schools, the teacher holds a dual task, namely as a teacher and educator. As a teacher the teacher is tasked with pouring a number of learning materials into the students' brains, while as an educator the teacher is tasked with guiding and fostering students so that they become capable, active, creative and independent human beings. Djamarah believes that both teaching and educating are the duties and responsibilities of teachers as professionals2. Therefore, this difficult task of a teacher basically can only be carried out by teachers who have high work discipline.

Teacher discipline in the administration of education is one of the things that must be considered and carried out in the educational process which contains several elements, namely the use of time, managing educational administration, and carrying out duties and responsibilities, because teacher discipline will affect student achievement, where high achievement will be achieved by students. If it is supported by the teacher's discipline properly in carrying out their duties.
