Abstract

management of extracurricular activities in building the character of students at school. Well-planned extracurricular activities can help students develop skills, talents and positive values. Some of the tips provided include determining activity objectives, selecting relevant and interesting activities, preparing a regular schedule, selecting qualified instructors or trainers, and conducting regular evaluations. With good management of extracurricular activities, schools can assist students in developing positive character and prepare them to become quality individuals who are beneficial to society.

This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The research subjects were students from a school who participated in scouting activities inside and outside of school. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation.

Based on the results of research on the role of extracurricular activities in the formation of student character, it can be concluded that extracurricular activities play an important role in shaping the character of students at school. Extracurricular activities provide a learning experience that is different from learning in the classroom, so that it can help students develop social skills, leadership, and other skills that cannot be obtained through academic learning alone.
