Abstract

Supervision activities for the head of the madrasa at MTs Mathla'ul Anwar Seribu are carried out in a planned and sustainable manner so that the aim is to improve teacher performance in learning. The problem in this research is to examine the implementation of Supervision by the principal and teacher performance in learning at MTs Mathla'ul Anwar Seribu. The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of the Supervision of the Madrasa Head in improving teacher performance at MTs Mathla'ul Anwar Seribu. This research is a field research using observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. Data analysis techniques use analysis to improve teacher performance at MTs Mathla'ul Anwar Seribu

The field findings in this research are: school principal supervision planning is carried out in a planned, systematic and continuous manner. At this stage the head of the madrasah carries out the stages of determining the name of the teacher to be observed, determining the time of observation, compiling the observation grid, determining whether the class observation is known by the teacher or not, this is based on an agreement between the principal and the teacher. At the observation stage, it turned out that the activities of the principal did not interfere with the course of the learning process in class and even the principal at the end of the lesson provided motivation to students to continue studying diligently. At the follow-up stage, Supervision results are discussed jointly between teachers and school principals who discuss teacher deficiencies in teaching with the hope that in the future teachers can improve them.
