Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the supervisory role of the madrasa head on teacher performance in learning at Madrasa Aliyah Al Furqon Rawi. This research uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and questionnaires. The research respondents were madrasa heads and teachers who were involved in the supervision process.

The results of the study show that the supervisory role of the madrasa head has a positive influence on teacher performance. Madrasah heads who are able to supervise properly and effectively can increase teacher motivation and performance in learning. However, there are other factors that affect the effectiveness of supervision, such as the interpersonal relationship between the principal and the teacher, the support provided by the school, and other environmental factors.

Based on the results of the research, it is suggested that the head of the madrasa supervises properly and effectively to improve teacher performance in learning. In addition, the school also needs to provide sufficient support to the madrasah head in carrying out his duties as a supervisor. This is expected to improve the quality of learning in madrasas and provide better benefits for students.
