PERAN MATERI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER SISWA DI SDN 1 SIDOHARJO

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Islamic Religious Education materials in shaping the character of students at SDN 1 Sidoharjo. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects consisted of teachers of Islamic Religious Education and students of grades V and VI at SDN 1 Sidoharjo.

Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using triangulation techniques to ensure the accuracy and validity of the research results.

The results of the study show that Islamic Religious Education material plays an important role in shaping the character of students at SDN 1 Sidoharjo. Through this material, students are taught about moral and religious values that are needed in everyday life, such as honesty, hard work, compassion, and responsibility.

In addition, the teacher also uses a variety of interesting and interactive learning methods, such as lectures, discussions and games to help students understand and internalize the material. In this case, the teacher is considered to have a very important role in shaping the character of students.

In conclusion, Islamic Religious Education material can be an important factor in shaping the character of students at SDN 1 Sidoharjo. Therefore, there needs to be more serious attention from the school and parents in optimizing the learning of Islamic Religious Education in schools, so that it can help shape the character of quality students.
