FUNGSI MANAJEMEN KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH ETIKA ESTETIKA SEMUNTUL KECAMATAN RANTAU BAYUR KABUPATEN BANYUAASIN
Abstract
As the manager of a Madrasa apart from being an educator, the Head of the Madrasah is the top manager, namely managing the Madrasa so that all the potential of the Madrasah functions optimally. Management of the head of Semuntul Ethics Ethics MTs, Banyuasin Regency, uses the POAC function. However, the teacher's performance has not been maximized both in planning, implementation and evaluation. The problems in this study are (1) How does the management function of the Madrasah Principal in improving the performance of teachers at MTs Ethics Aesthetics Semuntul, Banyuasin Regency (2) What factors support and hinder the performance of teachers at MTs Ethics Aesthetics Semuntul, Banyuasin Regency.
The purpose of this study was to find out and describe about: 1) The management function of the Madrasah Principal in improving the performance of teachers at Semuntul Ethics Ethics MTs, Banyuasin Regency. 2) Supporting factors and inhibiting factors for teacher performance MTs Ethics and Aesthetics of Semuntul, Banyuasin Regency, Punggur District, Central Lampung Regency. This type of research is a qualitative research and is descriptive in nature, namely research that describes the management function of the Madrasah Principal in improving teacher performance at MTs Ethics and Aesthetics Semuntul, Banyuasin District, Punggur District, Central Lampung regency. Sources of data in this study are: (1) Primary data, consisting of Madrasah heads, deputy Madrasah heads, staff/employees, teachers; (2) Secondary data, obtained from library research and documentation. Data collection methods in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The method of data analysis is done by processing data (selecting, classifying, summarizing results, and making data reduction).
The results of the study show that the Head of the Madrasah has carried out the stages of the management function well from the planning stage to the Controlling stage, but sometimes there are obstacles in the implementation, this is due to the lack of professional teachers, the lack of infrastructure, and the teachers who do not understand the RPP. and reluctance to make lesson plans, lack of teacher awareness of discipline in teaching. The teacher's ability to evaluate learning is not yet comprehensive, some of it still leads to cognitive aspects and psychomotor aspects are not given enough attention. Good Madrasah Head Management can improve teacher performance, both in planning, implementing and evaluating. This can be seen from the increase in teacher discipline in teaching, the learning tools owned by teachers are getting better and more complete. Factors supporting teacher performance at Semuntul Ethics Ethics MTs, Banyuasin Regency include: sincerity to work, respect for teachers and factors inhibiting teacher performance include: minimal facilities and infrastructure.
