PERAN GURU PAI DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK DI PONDOK PESANTREN RIYADHUSSHOLOHIIN PANDEGLANG TAHUN AJARAN 2022/2023

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the role of Islamic religious teachers (PAI) in shaping the character of students at Riyadhussholhiin Islamic Boarding School in Pandeglang during the 2022/2023 academic year. This study used a qualitative research method with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques, such as thematic analysis, and the results were interpreted to understand the implications of the research findings for the role of PAI teachers in shaping the character of students at Riyadhussholhiin Islamic Boarding School in Pandeglang.                                The results of the study showed that PAI teachers at Riyadhussholhiin Islamic Boarding School applied the principles of Islamic character education in teaching and learning activities and used varied strategies and methods to shape the character of students. PAI teachers also served as role models and moral guides for students and provided guidance and counseling in their daily lives. However, there were still factors that influenced the role of PAI teachers in shaping the character of students, such as the lack of support from the institution's management and limited resources
