Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of akidah akhlak (Islamic belief and morals) teachers in shaping the character of students in class XI at MA Al-Khoirot Guppi Buyut Udik in the academic year 2022/2023. The method used is a case study with data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The results show that the role of akidah akhlak teachers is crucial in shaping the character of students. They are responsible for providing good religious and moral understanding to students, so that they can become individuals with good Islamic character and dignity. The akidah akhlak teachers at MA Al-Khoirot Guppi Buyut Udik have interesting learning strategies, such as providing real-life examples, delivering interactive materials, and motivating students to be actively involved in learning. In addition, teachers involve parents in shaping students' characters by providing information about students' development in school. With good roles of akidah akhlak teachers, students can have good character, be independent, responsible, and able to contribute positively to society.
