The aim of the research is to find out the implementation of the head's academic supervision in improving teacher professional competence. This study used a qualitative method using 1 Madrasah head and 2 teachers as primary data sources, as well as research supporting documents as secondary data. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction procedures, data presentation, and data verification, then conclusions were drawn. The implementation of the academic supervision of the madrasa head in improving the professional competence of teachers is carried out by first planning an academic supervision program, then carrying out supervision and following up on the results of academic supervision, with the academic supervision of the madrasa head, the professional competence of teachers will always increase in terms of mastering materials, managing learning programs teaching, the ability to manage a class, the ability to use media or learning resources, the ability to master the foundation of education, the ability to manage teaching-learning interactions, and the ability to assess and analyze student achievement.
