Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the role of supervision in improving the performance of madrasa principals and teachers at MAN 1 OGAN KOMRING ULU. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, which is located at MAN 1 OGAN KOMRING ULU. The sources of information in this study were Madrasa Superintendents, Madrasa Heads, and Teachers. The instruments used to gather data came from (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) ulu comming. Data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data display and verification. The conclusion that resulted from this study was that the supervisory role carried out by the supervisor towards improving the performance of the madrasa head and the supervision carried out by the madrasa head on teachers had been carried out properly and was able to make a positive contribution to the madrasa. In addition, the madrasah head can openly cooperate with supervisors in terms of supervision so that they are better able to carry out their role in mobilizing, coordinating and having a positive influence on teachers to improve their performance, so that at advanced stages it can affect the quality of learning.
