Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out and understand the management of zakat-based education financing at SMP Islam Darussa'adah. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing, observing and copying documents. The data analysis used is analysis with purely descriptive interpretation. The results of this study indicate that the planning of educational financing at MTs. Darussa'dah Kasui begins with the preparation of the School Revenue and Expenditure Budget Plan which will be sourced from community zakat, this preparation will be carried out at the beginning of each new school year. In practice, this funding is allocated for each school's operations, facilities, and student activities by balancing income and expenses. Supervision, evaluation and examination of financing are carried out by the school principal and committees as well as the guardians of students by looking at written evidence and evidence of the use of funds. The supporting factor is the existence of strong support from the surrounding community by donating their wealth directly to mustahik at MTs. SMP Islam Darussa'adah, while the inhibiting factor is the zakat that is received every month is not the same.
