Abstract
Supervision is an activity of providing assistance and guidance for teachers in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The leadership role of the Madrasah head as a supervisor is very important in providing assistance and guidance as well as services to teachers including PAI teachers in improving their pedagogical competence. The leadership role of the Madrasah head enables the implementation of an optimal learning process in the Madrasah. This is also a concern for the head of MTs Al-Ikhlas Braja Sakti in carrying out his supervisory role in order to improve the pedagogic competence of teachers including PAI teachers so that the quality of education in the Madrasa he leads can develop and excel in both academic and non-academic fields.This study discusses the "Leadership Role of Madrasah Principals as Supervisors in Improving the Pedagogical Competence of PAI Teachers at MTs Al-Ikhlas Braja Sakti" with the formulation of the problem: How is the Leadership Role of Madrasah Heads as Supervisors in Improving the Pedagogical Competence of PAI Teachers at MTs Al-Ikhlas Braja Sakti Way Jepara, East Lampung Regency?. The purpose of this study was to analyze the leadership role of the Madrasah head as a supervisor in improving the pedagogic competence of PAI teachers at MTs Al-Ikhlas Braja Sakti Way Jepara.This type of research is qualitative research. The data sources of this study were the head of the Madrasah, and PAI teachers as primary data sources, Student Representatives, students, profile data of MTs Al-Ikhlas Braja Sakti in the form of notes, archives and documents related to research as secondary data. Methods of data collection in this study through interviews, observation and documentation. The steps of data analysis are data reduction, data display and verification as well as drawing conclusions..
