PERAN GURU PAI DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN PAI SMAS ISLAMIYAH KECAMATAN TELUK BETUNG SELATAN KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2021/2022

Abstract

In this study the researchers found something different/unique in one of the schools, namely SMAS Islamiyah Bandar Lampung, the teacher carried out his role with a portion that was not the same as other schools and the interest of the students was good. To facilitate this research, the formulation of the problem in this study is "How is the Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Increasing Students' Interest in Learning in Islamic Religious Education Subjects at SMAS Islamiyah Bandar Lampung? In this study using qualitative research methods, which are located at SMAS Islamiyah Bandar Lampung. Researchers conducted structured interviews and unstructured interviews with resource persons (Islamic Religious Education teachers) supported by documentation and direct observation data. As a finding in this study, regarding the review of the teacher's role in increasing students' interest in learning in PAI subjects, it can be concluded that the three roles of teachers as educators, coaches and supervisors have been carried out, proving that the teacher's role greatly influences the increasing interest of students in PAI learning, at SMA Islamiyah Bandar Lampung. This school runs two (2) curricula, namely the general curriculum and the special curriculum (Islamic / religious) which has a target of memorizing at least 3 juz when graduating, daily worship activities such as ablution, dhuha prayer, memorizing muroja'ah, dzuhur prayers in congregation. , as well as the call to prayer but students still have a good interest in learning PAI. This means that if the teacher's role is carried out well, it can affect students' interest in learning PAI even though the content of the material is added, so it is necessary to increase PAI learning time in elementary schools, especially in SMAS.
