STRATEGI KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU PENDIDIKAN DI ERA TRANSFORMASI PENDIDIKAN

Abstract

This study aims to examine the leadership strategies of madrasah principals in improving the quality of education in the era of educational transformation. The changing paradigm of education, marked by technological advancements, globalization, and the demands of 21st-century competencies, requires educational institutions to continuously adapt and innovate. In this context, the madrasah principal plays a strategic role as an educational leader responsible for managing, directing, and developing all components of education to achieve optimal quality. Therefore, effective, adaptive, and visionary leadership strategies are essential to address various challenges and to improve educational quality in a sustainable manner. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, analyzing various scientific sources such as journals, books, and previous relevant studies. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation by exploring credible sources, which were then analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach. The data analysis process involved identifying, classifying, and synthesizing research findings related to the leadership strategies of madrasah principals in improving educational quality. The results of the study indicate that effective leadership strategies of madrasah principals in improving educational quality include transformational, visionary, and participatory leadership that empowers all school stakeholders. In addition, principals need to optimize school-based management, enhance teacher competencies, and utilize technology in both learning processes and educational administration. In the era of educational transformation, innovative and adaptive leadership is the key to creating a high-quality learning environment that is competitive and capable of producing competent and well-characterized graduates.
