This study is motivated by the importance of school financial management in ensuring the sustainability of teachers’ and students’ operational activities in Islamic boarding schools. The dynamics of operational needs and fluctuations in funding sources during the 2021–2024 academic years required an effective, transparent, and sustainable financial management system at Hidayatullah Muslimin 1 Islamic Boarding School. This study aims to analyze the school financial management system, evaluate its effectiveness in supporting teachers’ and students’ operations, and identify constraints and development strategies. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation applied to ensure validity. The findings indicate that financial management has been implemented through systematic stages of planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation, enabling the sustainability of educational operations. However, limitations remain in terms of digitalization, diversification of funding sources, and financial risk management. The study concludes that the financial management of the boarding school has been relatively effective in supporting teachers’ and students’ operations, yet requires strengthening in strategic planning, technology-based transparency, and alternative funding development to ensure long-term sustainability.
