Abstract

The implementation of Islamic values in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning is a crucial aspect in shaping students’ religious character, particularly in vocational secondary schools. This study aims to describe in depth the implementation of Islamic values in IRE learning at Muhammadiyah Vocational High School (SMK Muhammadiyah) Majenang, Cilacap, in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of IRE teachers, the principal, and students selected through purposive sampling based on their direct involvement in the learning process. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation studies of learning instruments and school religious programs. Data validity was ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation, while data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of Islamic values in IRE learning was carried out through the integration of faith (aqidah), worship (ibadah), morality (akhlaq), and social interaction (muamalah) values in lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation. These values were instilled through teacher role modeling, religious habituation, contextual learning methods, and the reinforcement of an Islamic school culture. The study concludes that the implementation of Islamic values in IRE learning at SMK Muhammadiyah Majenang Cilacap has been systematically conducted and positively contributes to the development of students’ religious attitudes and Islamic behavior.
