Abstract

The findings indicate that the optimization of character education management is carried out through systematic planning, implementation, organization, and supervision involving the principal, teachers, students, and parents. Character values are integrated into the curriculum through active learning, life-skill development, and emotional regulation activities. Students’ interests, attitudes, and positive behaviors are fostered through extracurricular programs, character assessment, inspirational storytelling, religious practice routines, teacher motivation, and role modeling based on Kihajar Dewantara’s educational principles.

The study also identifies several challenges, including the influence of social media, limited learning resources, low student motivation, and insufficient religious facilities. To overcome these challenges, the school enhances discipline, improves learning facilities, applies various motivational teaching methods, and strengthens character development programs consistently.

Overall, the study concludes that character education management at SDIT Sabilul Mukminin is effectively implemented through collaborative efforts and systematic management principles, resulting in improved student interest, attitudes, and positive behaviors, although further improvements in facilities and learning resources remain necessary.
