KREATIVITAS GURU PAI DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA IT AL BASHIRAH KECAMATAN MANGGALA KOTA MAKASSAR
Abstract
This study aims to describe the creativity of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in enhancing students’ motivation and learning outcomes at SMA IT Al Bashirah, Manggala District, Makassar City. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The participants included PAI teachers, students, and the vice principal for curriculum affairs.
The findings reveal that PAI teachers demonstrate creativity through the use of varied instructional methods such as group discussions, problem-based learning, peer tutoring, and technology-based learning media. Teachers also implement contextual teaching strategies by connecting Islamic subject matter to students’ real-life experiences, making learning more meaningful. This creativity significantly increases students’ learning motivation, as indicated by their enthusiasm, active participation, and growing interest in understanding religious concepts. Moreover, teacher creativity positively influences students’ learning outcomes, evidenced by improved evaluation scores, enhanced critical thinking skills, and deeper comprehension of Islamic teachings.
The study concludes that PAI teacher creativity plays a crucial role in improving students’ motivation and learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to continually develop innovative teaching strategies that respond to students’ needs and characteristics to ensure that Islamic Education learning becomes more effective and meaningful.
