This study aims to describe the leadership style of the school principal in addressing the decline in teacher motivation following the increase in digital administrative workload at SDN Babakan Goyang during the 2025/2026 academic year. The research employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation related to the implementation of digital administration tasks. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the principal applied various leadership styles—including transformational, supportive, democratic, and adaptive leadership—to respond to the reduced motivation of teachers. The principal provided technical support by assisting teachers with digital applications, organizing ICT training, and forming collaborative working groups. Emotional support was also demonstrated through open communication, appreciation of teacher efforts, and opportunities for teachers to express the challenges they faced. Additionally, the principal simplified several internal administrative requirements and adjusted school policies to reduce the burden on teachers. The study concludes that responsive and humanistic leadership strategies effectively restore teacher motivation and enhance their performance during the digital adaptation period. Thus, the principal’s leadership style plays a crucial role in maintaining teacher stability, performance, and productivity in the era of digital administration.
