This study aims to analyze educational financing planning based on pesantren economic independence as a strategy to achieve sustainable educational quality. As Islamic educational institutions, pesantren require complex funding to support daily operations, facility development, and teacher competency improvement. Dependence on external assistance often creates financial instability. Therefore, economic independence through the development of income-generating units becomes a strategic alternative. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings show that financing planning in pesantren is carried out through three main stages: identifying budget needs, analyzing internal economic potential, and formulating short-, medium-, and long-term business development strategies. Business units such as agriculture, livestock, cooperatives, and pesantren-owned shops significantly contribute to educational funding. Furthermore, the application of sharia-based financial management principles, transparency in reporting, and accountability in business operations strengthen public trust and support institutional sustainability. This study concludes that pesantren economic independence plays a vital role in improving sustainable educational quality. Income from business units supports facility enhancement, teacher welfare, and the consistent development of flagship programs. The financing planning model based on economic independence is recommended for adoption by other pesantren as a strategy to strengthen financial stability and improve educational service quality.
