Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a Qur’anic value–based transformational leadership model in enhancing professional work culture within Islamic educational institutions. Transformational leadership is understood as a leadership approach focused on positive change, empowerment, and the development of a shared vision. When combined with Qur’anic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), excellence (ihsan), justice, consultation (syura), and exemplary conduct, this model has strong potential to create a professional, ethical, and quality-oriented work environment. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that leaders in Islamic educational institutions consistently implement Qur’anic values within transformational leadership practices through role modeling, effective communication, staff empowerment, and spiritual motivation. Leaders act as moral guides and inspirational figures who encourage teachers and administrative staff to deliver their best performance, work with discipline, and commit to continuous quality improvement. The professional work culture improved significantly, reflected in higher levels of discipline, integrity, collaboration, innovation, and work ethic. A harmonious organizational climate emerged as Qur’anic values were integrated into daily interactions and institutional policies. This study concludes that Qur’anic value–based transformational leadership is an effective model for strengthening professional work culture in Islamic educational institutions. It is recommended as a strategic leadership approach for Islamic educational management in the modern era.
