Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges and strategies of human resource management at SDN 8 Simpang Pematang in the era of globalization, which is characterized by rapid technological development, curriculum changes, and increased demands on teacher competencies. Human resource management is crucial for improving educational quality because teachers and school staff serve as the driving force behind effective learning processes. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation to obtain comprehensive data. The findings reveal several key challenges, including limited technological skills among some teachers, insufficient continuous training, inadequate understanding of the latest curriculum, declining work motivation, and suboptimal collaboration between senior and junior teachers. To address these challenges, the school has implemented various strategies such as internal training, academic supervision, teacher learning communities, MGMP collaboration, and strengthening the leadership role of the school principal. Additionally, support from the school committee and the community plays a significant role in improving facilities and providing additional resources for HR development. The study concludes that effective human resource management in the globalization era requires adaptive, collaborative, and sustainable approaches to ensure optimal improvement in staff quality. Therefore, HR development strategies must be carefully designed by considering teacher needs, educational dynamics, and technological advancements.
