MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN MINAT, SIKAP DAN PERILAKU POSITIF PESERTA DIDIK DI SMAIT UTSMAN BIN AFFAN KABUPATEN PANGKAJENE DAN KEPULAUAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2025/2026
Abstract
This research aims to describe the implementation of character education management in developing students’ interest, attitude, and positive behavior at SMAIT Utsman Bin Affan. The background of this study is based on the importance of character education as an effort to shape students into individuals with noble morals, strong discipline, and high social responsibility amidst the moral challenges of globalization. Character education in schools should not only focus on cognitive aspects but also include affective and psychomotor dimensions to create students who are intellectually capable, emotionally balanced, and socially responsible. This study employed a **descriptive qualitative approach** using observation, interviews, and documentation to collect data regarding the planning, implementation, and evaluation of character education management at SMAIT Utsman Bin Affan. The findings revealed that character education management has been implemented systematically through the planning of positive habituation activities, integration of character values in the learning process, and the strengthening of a religious and disciplined school culture. Teachers serve as role models who play a crucial role in shaping students’ attitudes and behavior. Furthermore, support from the principal, collaboration among teachers, parents, and the surrounding community significantly contributes to fostering students’ learning interest and positive behavior. Programs such as congregational prayers, social activities, mentoring, and character literacy have proven effective in cultivating responsibility, honesty, and social awareness among students. Thus, the implementation of character education management at SMAIT Utsman Bin Affan has successfully created a conducive learning environment to nurture a generation of intelligent, moral, and well-mannered students.
