This study aims to describe in depth the effective efforts of Islamic Education teachers in fostering students’ morality at SDN 1 Way Jaha, Pugung, Tanggamus, Lampung. Moral development in elementary school students is a crucial foundation for shaping their character so that they grow into individuals who are faithful, well-mannered, and capable of demonstrating positive behavior both in school and in their social environment. This research is motivated by the increasing issues of student discipline, politeness, and responsibility, thus requiring well-structured and consistent moral development strategies implemented by Islamic Education teachers. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the Islamic Education teacher, the principal, and several students. The findings reveal that the teacher applies various moral development strategies, including religious habituation such as morning prayers, Qur’an recitation before class, and daily worship practices; role modeling through exemplary manners, respectful communication, and integrity; as well as personalized guidance for students experiencing behavioral issues. The teacher also uses storytelling, contextual moral advice, and positive reinforcement to strengthen the internalization of Islamic moral values. The results indicate that the success of moral development is strongly influenced by the teacher’s consistency, school environment support, and parental collaboration. Routine habituation, concrete role modeling, and effective communication between teachers and students have significantly contributed to improving students’ moral behavior. This study concludes that the efforts of the Islamic Education teacher at SDN 1 Way Jaha have been effective but still need reinforcement in continuous monitoring and family involvement to ensure that moral development becomes holistic and sustainable in students’ daily lives.
