Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze how Islamic education management is implemented to improve students’ discipline at Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin, Jati Agung, South Lampung. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research explores in depth the processes of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising educational management carried out by the institution to foster students’ discipline. The study focuses on internal regulations, leadership policies, and character-building strategies practiced by teachers and pesantren administrators. The findings reveal that the planning of Islamic education management is carried out systematically, starting from the formulation of daily rules, character-based curriculum, and habituation programs designed to cultivate discipline. Organizing is implemented through a clear division of roles among the caregivers, teachers, supervisors, and senior students, enabling each component to contribute strategically to enforcing discipline. The implementation stage includes structured activities such as worship schedules, study sessions, cleanliness duties, and daily evaluations supported by an educational reward and punishment system. Furthermore, supervision takes place through continuous monitoring by supervisors and teachers, discipline progress reports, and routine evaluations by the leadership. This approach has proven effective in significantly improving students’ discipline in religious practices, academic performance, and daily behavior. The study concludes that well-planned, organized, directed, and supervised Islamic education management plays a crucial role in successfully fostering students’ discipline at Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin.
