The teacher is an important component in education. Teachers are involved in improving the religious atmosphere in the school environment. Given the current developments in globalization and information, it is increasingly concerning, as there are many negative things that need to be avoided and complaints from parents about children who are difficult to manage. and often ignore their parents even more concerned with playing than learning.
Because of this, the focus of research in writing this thesis is, What is the Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Improving the Religious Atmosphere in the SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau Regency For The 2025/2026 Academic Year ?.
This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques using; (1) interviews, (2) observation, (3) documentation. Informants were determined through a purposive sampling technique. The analysis that the writer uses is triangulation.
Discussion of the results of the research, that from the results of interviews and observations it is known that Islamic religious education teachers at SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau Regency have carried out their roles as teachers, as educators, as motivators, as role models, as facilitators, as evaluators and at the same time as leaders in improving the religious atmosphere in SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau Regency but the religious atmosphere has not been optimally created, this is due to a lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure, lack of support from teachers in other fields of study or subjects, and there is no evaluation by the principal of Islamic religious education programs that have been established as a school program
