This study examines the supervision practices of Islamic Education (PAI) supervisors at MIN 9 Aceh Jaya and their impact on improving the quality of PAI learning. The supervision process consists of planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. In the planning stage, supervisors prepare annual and semester programs which, although not detailed, are still effective in guiding supervisory activities. The implementation stage includes classroom observation, individual and group interviews, and school visits, allowing supervisors to assess teacher performance and learning conditions directly. Evaluation is carried out during and after the lesson using supervision instruments and providing feedback for instructional improvement.
The findings show an improvement in the quality of PAI learning in terms of process components, such as clear instructional objectives, diverse teaching methods, simple instructional media, classroom management, and assessments that cover cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. In terms of output, improvements are reflected in students’ learning outcomes, knowledge acquisition, and high graduation rates. The study concludes that PAI supervision significantly contributes to enhancing the quality of Islamic Education learning at MIN 9 Aceh Jaya.
