Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of planning management in improving the quality of teaching staff at SMA Plus Nashrul Haq Kota Tasikmalaya . The background of this research is the crucial role of well-structured educational planning in developing professional and competent educators who meet the demands of the learning process. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The research subjects included the principal, teachers, and educational staff. The findings reveal that planning management has been implemented through several key stages, such as identifying teacher needs, designing competency development programs, and conducting periodic evaluations. The planning process was participatory, involving all school stakeholders, thus fostering synergy in its execution. Challenges encountered include limited budget, lack of continuous training, and inadequate supporting facilities. Nevertheless, through adaptive strategies and visionary leadership from the principal, the quality of teaching staff has gradually improved. This study recommends increasing resource allocation and strengthening monitoring systems to ensure the sustainability of quality improvement programs.
