Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the learning process of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP N 13 Krui. The evaluation focuses on the effectiveness of the learning process, which includes planning, implementation, and assessment of student learning outcomes. This research adopts a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the planning of PAI learning at SMP N 13 Kruihas been adequately prepared, including the development of Lesson Plans (RPP), syllabus, and basic competence mapping. In its implementation, PAI teachers strive to use various learning methods such as lectures, discussions, Q&A, and worship practice to enhance students’ understanding. However, the learning implementation still faces several challenges, such as limited use of digital learning media and insufficient time to cover all materials comprehensively. Assessment of student learning outcomes is carried out through written tests, assignments, and attitude observations. Although student learning outcomes are generally satisfactory, some students still struggle to understand certain topics, especially abstract ones such as theology and ethics. This study recommends improving teacher training, utilizing technological media, and adopting more contextual and interactive teaching approaches.
