Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource management (HRM) among teachers and educational staff in improving the quality of learning at SMP Negeri 1 Liukang Kalmas. Human resource management plays a crucial role in achieving educational excellence, as teachers and educational personnel are the primary determinants of the success of the teaching and learning process. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include the principal, teachers, and administrative staff. The findings indicate that HRM at SMP Negeri 1 Liukang Kalmas covers four key functions: planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. In the planning aspect, the school conducts teacher needs analysis and improves professional competence through training and workshops. The organizing function is carried out by assigning tasks according to each individual's expertise. Implementation includes regular coaching, academic supervision, and continuous performance evaluation. Meanwhile, supervision ensures teaching effectiveness and staff discipline. The implementation of effective HRM has proven to enhance learning quality, as reflected in improved student performance, teacher discipline, and innovation in teaching methods. In conclusion, well-planned and sustainable human resource management plays a vital role in fostering a productive and high-quality educational environment.
