KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PELAKSANAAN EVALUASI PEMBELAJARAN DI SDIT QURRATA A'YUN WAHDAH ISLAMIYAH KOTA GORONTALO
Abstract
Professional competence of teachers is one of the main factors determining the success of the learning process, including the implementation of learning evaluation. This study aims to determine the extent to which the professional competence of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers contributes to improving the quality of learning evaluation implementation at SDIT Qurrata A’yun Wahdah Islamiyah Kota Gorontalo. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving PAI teachers and the head of the madrasah. The results revealed that the PAI teachers possessed a good understanding of learning evaluation principles, including setting evaluation objectives, developing assessment instruments, conducting evaluations, and following up on the results. However, several challenges were identified, such as limited time, lack of training in authentic assessment, and minimal use of technology in the evaluation process. Efforts to improve were carried out through academic supervision, assessment workshops, and strengthening teacher collaboration. Thus, it can be concluded that the professional competence of PAI teachers plays a significant role in enhancing the quality of learning evaluation implementation. Continuous improvement of this competence is expected to create a more effective, objective, and character-oriented learning process for students.
