PERANAN KEPALA SEKOLAH SEBAGAI SUPERVISOR DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DI MI AN NUUR GUPPI MOJOPAHIT

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the role of the principal in improving student learning achievement through supervision carried out to teachers in the ongoing classroom teaching and learning process. This research is a qualitative research because this type of research does not only collect data in terms of quality but also gains a deeper understanding of the data generated. Collecting data was done by using observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data was acquired by using triangulation with the sources. Data analysis techniques was used data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and levers. Based on the results of the presentation and analysis of data regarding the role of the principal as a supervisor carrying out his role as a coordinator, as a consultant, as a leader and as an evaluator. The learning achievement of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah An-Nuur Guppi Mojopahit with the role of the principal as a supervisor was increased. This increase can be seen based on learning achievements in the cognitive, psycho-motor and affective aspects of students contained in the midterm exam scores, final semester exam scores and report cards for Islamic education lessons.
