Abstract
The quality of education can be said to be a description of the good or bad of the Islamic Boarding School. The Modern Islamic Boarding School of Darussalam Gontor Putri Campus 6 is considered to be of good quality if it succeeds in achieving its educational goals. Related to the effectiveness of educational goals, the managerial competence of the madrasah principal plays a very important role. This study sees a relationship between managerial competence and the quality of education so that the problem in this study can be formulated as follows, How is the Managerial Competence of the Madrasah Principal in Improving the Quality of Education. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach by analyzing various literature related to Madrasah Education Management: Between Tradition and Modernization The results of the study show that the educational management of the Modern Islamic Boarding School of Darussalam Gontor Putri Campus 6 still maintains traditional values, such as a deep religion-based curriculum, but has also begun to integrate modern aspects such as the use of technology in learning, more transparent financial management, and improving the quality of human resources through professional training. However, there are challenges in aligning the two, especially in terms of limited facilities and understanding the importance of innovation. This study concludes that in order to achieve optimal educational goals, madrasahs need to develop a management model that is able to accommodate both: preserving tradition and adopting modern practices that are in accordance with global developments without losing Islamic identity.
