Moral development by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers plays a crucial role in shaping students' character, especially in the school environment. This study focuses on the role of moral education carried out by PAI teachers at SMP Tahfizhul Qur’an Ats Tsaqib Way Layap, Gedongtataan District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung. The study aims to explore how moral education is implemented and its impact on students' character in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method employed is a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the strategies for moral education include modeling, advice, habituation, and behavioral evaluation. PAI teachers serve as role models in daily life, teaching moral values through good behavior. Additionally, students are habituated with religious activities such as congregational prayers and Qur’an reading. This habituation has proven effective in shaping students to be more disciplined, polite, and responsible. However, challenges such as the influence of external environments and time constraints were identified. Collaboration between schools, parents, and the community is essential to support this moral education process. Overall, the moral education implemented by PAI teachers has a positive impact on the development of students' character in the school.
