EVALUASI KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER NABAWIYAH DI IMAM AHMAD BOARDING SCHOOL LUBUK LINGGAU SUMATERA SELATAN
Abstract
The purposes of the reserach are to explain the principal’s leadership strategy in improving teacher performance at Imam Ahmad Boarding School Lubuk Linggau, to list the obstacles of the principal’s leadership strategy in improving teacher performance at Imam Ahmad Boarding School Lubuk Linggau, and to expound the method to overcome the obstacles of the principal’s leadership strategy in improving teacher performance at Imam Ahmad Boarding School Lubuk Linggau. The field study that is used to analyze the result of the strategy and the leadership of the principal, the teacher performance and the principal’s strategy in improving teacher performance. The method of the research is descriptive-analysis by using qualitative approach. The techniques of data collection are observation, interview and documentation. The procedures of the research are planning, data collecting, describing, analyzing and summarizing. The result of the research are as follows. The leadership strategies in improving teacher performance in Imam Ahmad Boarding School Lubuk Linggau are improving the discipline, giving motivation, being the role model to teachers and staffs, and supervising. The obstacles of the principal’s leadership strategy in improving teacher performance at Imam Ahmad Boarding School Lubuk Linggau are some teachers come late, some end the class earlier than the specified time, some are unmotivated in improving performance, some less respond to the paragon of the principal, the supervision at Imam Ahmad Boarding School Lubuk Linggau is only once in a year, there is the limited school facility, the school supervisor has just a little role in the guidance. The principal’s methods to overcome the obstacles in improving the teacher performance at Imam Ahmad Boarding School Lubuk Linggau are improving the discipline, giving motivation to the teachers in developing the human resources, holding the supervision every 3 months, and coordinating with the related parties to complete the learning facility.
