This research aims to describe the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teacher professionalism in improving student achievement at SMP PGRI 1 Kalianda. The background of this study lies in the importance of Islamic teachers not only in shaping students' character and morals but also in enhancing their academic performance. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The results reveal that Islamic Education teachers at the school demonstrated strong professionalism in pedagogical, professional, personal, and social competencies. Teachers were able to design structured learning plans, apply diverse teaching methods, and establish effective communication with students and other stakeholders. The success of these teachers is evident in the increased academic performance, positive changes in student behavior, and active participation in religious activities at school. In conclusion, the professionalism of Islamic Education teachers has a significant impact on students' holistic achievement. Therefore, enhancing teacher quality through continuous training and institutional support is essential and should be prioritized
