Abstract

The curriculum development model goes through several stages including, first, the mastery stage of curriculum development management; second, the stage of understanding the curriculum perspective; The third, no less important stage is mastering the curriculum. Every teacher must have these three stages in order to take the initiative to develop a curriculum that is contextual to the lives of students and society in general. The curriculum applied is oriented towards developing science based on the Koran. This curriculum was developed at MA Hidayatul Mubtadiin Sidoharjo because basically secondary education here emphasizes the development of natural sciences including Chemistry, Physics and Biology, all of which are applied based on the Koran. The learning curriculum at MA Hidayatul Mubtadiin Sidoharjo is like this and is able to develop students to carry out research and many students take part in several competitions between high schools at home and abroad. The curriculum development developed is very useful in developing students' potential to develop science.   Students become creative and are always able to create innovative ideas in developing science as demonstrated by the students' ability to win several national and international competitions. The educational unit level curriculum as an alternative future-oriented curriculum still needs to be developed by the school (teachers, school principals and school committees) so that knowledge based on the Koran is more developed and can be applied to develop knowledge in the community and nationally.
