Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning management using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Hidayatul Mubtadi'in. The PBL model was chosen because it is believed to increase students' understanding of PAI material, as well as develop critical thinking skills, problem solving and social skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method, where the experimental group is taught using the PBL model, while the control group uses conventional learning methods. Data was obtained through learning results tests, observations, and interviews with teachers and students. The research results show that the application of the PBL model in PAI learning significantly improves student learning outcomes, critical thinking skills and learning motivation. Apart from that, the PBL model also improves classroom management, optimizes group work, and encourages students to be more active in finding solutions to given problems. This research concludes that PAI learning management using the PBL model has proven effective in improving the quality of learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah.
