Abstract

The research aims to analyze the curriculum model and orientation in learning planned by PP MAS Darussalam Kunir. This research was conducted to develop knowledge regarding fundamental curriculum planning and learning. The results obtained based on the observations made are that at PP MAS Darussalam Kunir, the curriculum implemented is a combination of comparative and competitive curriculum considering the 2 curriculum models implemented. This research was carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method where data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The data sources used are informants from school leaders, head of curriculum, teachers, education staff, parents and students who support school governance. Data collection and data analysis techniques include; data reduction, data display and conclusions. The research results obtained in curriculum and learning planning at PP MAS Darussalam Kunir used 2 curriculum models, namely the 2013 curriculum and the local curriculum, in this case the Islamic boarding school. The advantage of implementing these two curricula is that students are required to be proficient in foreign languages ​​because they have been familiarized with Arabic and English in their daily activities. Apart from that, learning to read the Al-Qur'an which has clear words to the Prophet Muhammad. Through this combination of general and religious learning models and orientations, the hope is to create graduates who are imaman lil muttaqien, namely individuals who are faithful, devout, and have the competitiveness to live sustainably because they are able to adapt in the midst of mutamaddin society.
