STRATEGI PENGELOLAAN SUMBER DAYA MANUSIA DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU DI SMPN 1 KALIANDA

Even though many schools have been established, the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of national education have not yet reached the desired level. Changes in human resource management in schools need to be made through school regrouping in order to improve the quality of education. This research approach is qualitative with a case study design. The research results show that: (1) HR planning is prepared systematically based on school independence, (2) Organization is carried out by dividing work systems, work programs and HR development, (3) Training and career development has a positive impact on both the school and its personnel, (4) Compensation is given by taking into account direct and indirect compensation patterns, (5) Performance assessment is carried out using two aspects, namely teacher performance assessment and school performance assessment. In conclusion, human resource management can improve school quality at SMP N 1 Kalianda as well as internal and external customer satisfaction, and can be categorized as good. The suggestion from this research is that school principals use academic supervision to supervise the regrouping policy in the aspect of teacher performance assessment.
