This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of managing the Islamic Education curriculum in improving student academic achievement at SMPN 2 Bakauheni, Bakauheni District. The research methods used include data collection through observation, interviews and document study, which are then analyzed thematically. The research results show that the management of the Islamic Education curriculum at SMPN 2 Bakauheni has been thoroughly integrated into the school curriculum, with teachers who are committed to implementing a curriculum that is relevant to student needs. Support from the school in providing learning resources and teacher training as well as active participation of students in learning activities also supports the effectiveness of curriculum management. However, there are also several inhibiting factors such as limited resources and infrastructure, lack of sufficient learning time, and challenges in dealing with differences in student needs and interests. Thus, this research provides a better understanding of the importance of effective management of the Islamic Education curriculum in improving student academic achievement at SMPN 2 Bakauheni.
