PELAKSANAAN SUPERVISI KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI SMK NEGERI BAHUGA WAY KANAN

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the principal's supervision in improving teacher performance atSMK N Bahuga Way Kanan. This study uses a qualitative method of inductive data analysis, directs the research target to an effort to find theory, is more concerned with the process than the results, chooses a set of criteria to write down the validity of the data, the research design is tentative and the research results are agreed upon by the research subject. This research is a field research using observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. The data analysis technique uses analysis in improving teacher performance atSMK N Bahuga Way Kanan The field findings in this study are: planning for the supervision of the principal is carried out in a planned, systematic and continuous manner. At this stage the principal performs the stages of determining the name of the teacher to be observed, determining the time of observation, compiling an observation grid, determining whether class observations are known to the teacher or not. This is based on an agreement between the principal and the teacher. At the observation stage, the principal's activities did not interfere with the learning process in the classroom, even the principal at the end of the lesson gave motivation to students to continue to study diligently. At the follow-up stage, the results of supervision were discussed together the same between teachers and principals who discuss the shortcomings of teachers in teaching with the hope that in the future teachers can improve them.
