Abstract

This research aims to examine the leadership management role of Raudhatut Thalibin Islamic boarding school caregivers in improving the discipline of students in Hulu Sungai Utara, South Kalimantan. Through a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with Islamic boarding school caregivers, participant observation, and documentation studies. The research results show that the leadership management of Islamic boarding school caregivers has a significant impact on student discipline. A transformational leadership style, effective communication skills, a deep understanding of Islamic boarding school values, and support from the Islamic boarding school environment and community are key factors that influence caregiver leadership management in improving student discipline. Thus, this research concludes that Islamic boarding school caregivers play a very important role in forming student discipline and creating a conducive learning environment in Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, it is important for Islamic boarding school caregivers to develop effective leadership skills to achieve educational goals and develop the desired character.
