Implementasi Kecerdasan Emosional dalam Kepemimpinan Sekolah di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ad-Da’wah Jakarta
Abstract
This research aims to examine the implementation of emotional intelligence-based school leadership at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ad-Da'wah Jakarta, where researchers use research indicators from Fleishman's leadership dimensions: initiative and attention. From the initiative dimension there are 1) leader's ethos, 2) initiative intuition, and 3) allocation of responsibility, while from the leader's attention dimension there are 1) attention to the results of work and the process of getting them, and 2) attention to employee welfare. This qualitative research uses a case study design and continues with data collection through interviews, participant observation and documentation studies. The results of this research are 1) school leaders have implemented leadership initiatives, proven by effective and efficient work in regulating the rights and obligations of school residents, and 2) thanks to excellent attention, leaders can maintain good school conditions. Leaders also continue to improve employee welfare by increasing their income and have also succeeded in increasing the knowledge and skills of both teachers and employees.
