HUBUNGAN GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DAN KINERJA GURU TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER SISWA DI SMP IT KHASANAH KEBAJIKAN PALEMBANG

This study aims to: (1) find out how much influence the principal's leadership style has on teacher performance at SMP IT Khasanah Kebajikan Palembang, (2) find out how much influence teacher performance on students' character at SMP IT Khasanah Kebajikan Palembang, (3) know how much the influence of the principal's leadership style and teacher performance on student character at SMP IT Khasanah Kebajikan Palembang. This type of research used in this study is quantitative. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire consisting of variables of schoolprincipal leadership style, teacher performance, and student character. Thenumber of respondents in this study were 40 teachers and 40 students The results of data analysis showed that (1) there was an influence of the principal's leadership style on teacher performance which was explained by the results of the t-test significance value which had a magnitude of 0.002 with a percentage of 67.5%, while the highest percentage in the type of democratic leadership style was 67.9 % (2) there is an effect of teacher performance on students' learning character which is explained by the results of the significance value of the t-test which has a magnitude of 0.001 with a percentage of 69.9%, (3) there is an influence of the principal's leadership style and teacher's performance on student character which is explained by the results of the F test which has a significance value of 0.002. The magnitude of the influence of the principal's leadership style on teacher performance and student character by 70.3% .
