Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the implementation of religious extracurricular activities in supporting the development of students' interests and talents at MTs Futuhiyyah Cahaya Mas. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The study found that religious extracurricular activities were implemented by MTs Futuhiyyah Cahaya Mas to support the development of students' interests and talents in various ways, such as by providing opportunities for students to participate in various religious activities, developing their skills and creativity, and fostering their social and emotional intelligence. The study also found that the school ensured that the implementation of religious extracurricular activities did not disrupt the learning process in the classroom and provided facilities for students of various religions to participate in the activities. The benefits of religious extracurricular activities for students included increasing their knowledge and understanding of their religion, developing their character and values, and improving their academic performance. The study concluded that the implementation of religious extracurricular activities was effective in supporting the development of students' interests and talents and recommended that other schools consider implementing similar programs to enhance the overall development of their students.
