Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of akidah akhlak (Islamic belief and morality) teachers in shaping the character of students in grade XI at MA Al-Khoirot Guppi Buyut Udik in the academic year 2022/2023. The method used is a case study with data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The results show that the role of akidah akhlak teachers is very important in shaping the character of students. These teachers are responsible for providing good understanding of religion and morality to students so that they can become individuals who have good character and strong and dignified Islamic character. Akidah akhlak teachers at MA Al-Khoirot Guppi Buyut Udik have interesting learning strategies, such as providing real-life examples, delivering interactive materials, and motivating students to actively participate in learning. In addition, teachers involve parents in shaping the character of students by providing information about the development of students at school. With the good role of akidah akhlak teachers, students can have good character, independence, responsibility, and can contribute positively to society.
