Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in Improving the Religious Atmosphere in the Environment at MTs Nurani, Bogor City. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques using; (1) interviews, (2) observation, (3) documentation. Informants were determined through a purposive sampling technique. The analysis that the writer uses is triangulation. Based on the results of the research, that from the results of interviews and observations it is known that Islamic religious education teachers at MTs Nurani Bogor City have carried out their roles as teachers, as educators, as motivators, as role models, as facilitators, as evaluators and at the same time as leaders in improving the religious atmosphere at MTs Nurani The city of Bogor, but the religious atmosphere has not been optimally created, this is due to the lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure, lack of support from teachers in other fields of study or subjects, and the absence of an evaluation by the principal of Islamic religious education programs that have been designated as school programs.
