Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the use of media in Islamic education learning. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection was carried out by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. After the data is collected and analyzed qualitatively, the data is processed by data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The results showed that the use of instructional media in increasing student motivation in Islamic religious education subjects was very high. The use or utilization of learning media in increasing students' understanding of the material provided is effective. By using good and effective learning media, learning will attract students' attention so that it can foster student motivation to learn so that it can limit the limitations of the senses, space and time. What's more, the use of learning media can improve and direct students' attention so that they can develop their abilities. Obstacles encountered in the use of instructional media can be minimized and overcome thanks to the teacher's own efforts in managing a conducive teaching and learning atmosphere and conditions
