UPAYA KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALITAS GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI MA HIDAYATUL MUBTADIIN JATI AGUNG LAMPUNG SELATAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2024-2025

This study aims to describe the principal's efforts in improving the professionalism of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at MA Hidayatul Mubtadiin Jati Agung, South Lampung in the 2024–2025 Academic Year. Teacher professionalism is the main key to the success of the learning process, especially in PAI subjects which play an important role in shaping students' character. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the principal carries out various strategies, including routine coaching, academic supervision, training facilitation, and providing motivation and awards. Although there are several obstacles such as budget and time constraints, in general these efforts have a positive impact on improving the competence and performance of PAI teachers. Thus, the active role of the principal is very influential in realizing professional and highly dedicated teachers.
